Matisse Papercuts Bird Earrings

£7.99

In his late sixties, Henri Matisse found that ill-health was increasingly preventing him from painting and so he took to making cut-outs from painted paper to make drafts for commissions. In time Matisse started to choose cut-outs in place of paintings, he would continue producing work in this medium for the rest of his life.

Inspired by Matisse’s paper cut-outs of birds in many of his works, these earrings show two white birds in flight.

Cut from white acrylic with stainless steel hooks.
